Hillgrove Boys Fundamentals Camp (Entering Grades 1-8)

This camp will emphasize the basic fundamentals to help each camper become a better player. A large emphasis will be put on defensive fundamentals. The camp will also include basic offensive skills on shooting, passing, and ball handling. Players will be taught how to incorporate each of these fundamentals into team play. Players entering the 7-8 Grade will begin to learn the offensive and defensive principles of the Hillgrove Varsity Basketball Program.

The camp will be operated by Head Coach Ed Morris, his high school basketball staff, and some of the current Hillgrove High School players.

When: June 9-12

Time: 9:00am - 12:30pm at Hillgrove High School

Cost: $90 per child ($75 for each additional child in your family)

Boy's Tennis Are Region Champions Again

Congratulations to the Hillgrove Boy's Tennis Team. They defended their region championship by defeating Cherokee 3-1. Great job guys.

Dixie Chix Lacrosse is coming to Hillgrove!

Lady Hawk lacrosse players are expected to participate in the Dixie Chix summer league and Dixie Chix 3-day clinic here at Hillgrove.

The summer league will run from June 8 - July 20th. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons.

The clinic will take place June 17-19.

Track and Field Banquet

Hillgrove Summer Wrestling Camp

HILLGROVE WRESTLING SUMMER CAMP (Grades 1st-upcoming freshmen)

The camp is designed to help beginning wrestlers as well as wrestlers with experience. We will concentrate on offense and defense from the neutral, top, and bottom positions.

When: June 2-5
Time: 6-8 pm in the Hillgrove main gym
Cost: $60 per wrestler (Please make checks payable to Hillgrove Wrestling)

The dugout club pancake breakfast fundraiser will be Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 this season... Please make plans to work and attend this event... It is very important that all players sell as many tickets as possible... It is a great time for food and fellowship with the community...

2008 Girls Basketball Summer Camp Information for Grades 1-12

Practice dates for upcoming 9th - 12 graders

June 5, 6, 16, 17, 19th All practices will be from 4:00-6:00...

Brenau University Camp for upcoming 7th - 12th graders...

June 8-11th ... This camp will be $280.00 per player, which includes fundamentals, games, insurance, rooms, meals, awards, t-shirts, etc... Please make plans to attend this camp.. You can download a form at numberonebasketballcamp.com or get one from Coach Fowler... Please send them with money to Coach Fowler and she will send them to the camp... This is so we can tell how many we will have attend the camp and know how many teams we can have... We will need parent volunteers to transport the players on the first and last day of camp...

All girls basketball camps will be in the month of June.... Keep June open so you can attend camp... Since we are losing 7 varsity players to graduation the Varsity team is wide open for those that want to work hard and continue the winning tradition set by the seniors.... For the summer of 2009 we will attend University of North Carolina basketball camp, so make plans and start saving your money now..

2008-2009 FASTPITCH METRO TRYOUTS
